This is my travel guide to Genting that includes everything you need to get to Genting and back to Singapore safely.
Here's a list of items you'll need for your trip. Some of these items are essential, while others are good to have. In case Jom Charge is occupied, some of these optional items can come in handy:
Essential items: car keys, driving license, passport, cash, credit card, and phone charger.
Good to have items: GPS, portable charger, snacks and drinks, travel pillow, and blanket.
Users with ChargEv can charge their car batteries at Petronas, which has many ChargEV chargers available.
However, even if you don't have ChargEV, you can still drive to Genting. But you must be extra cautious not to miss any charging points.
It is highly recommended to follow the route outlined in this guide. This will ensure that you reach KL / Genting when you charge 100% at every charging point.
Important Notes
When driving a BYD E6, it's important to drive responsibly and safely, just like with any other car. The car's management system will automatically throttle down to 20-40 kw, depending on the road conditions, when you reach the maximum speed of 140 km/h.
To maximize your car's efficiency, it is recommended to turn on the Recycle mode to Large for the entire trip. This will help you to conserve energy and get the most out of your battery.
